Secure Ticket Transfer is a peer-to-peer ticket transfer coordination platform. We collect the minimum data needed to make transfers between fans safer. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account data — your email, password hash, and (optionally) phone number.
- Profile data — display name, avatar, ratings, transfer history.
- Verification metadata — whether your email and phone are verified.
- Listings & requests — event, section, row, seat, price, notes.
- Messages — in-app messages between buyers and sellers tied to a transaction.
- Uploaded screenshots — proof of transfer, dispute evidence, ID where applicable.
- Transaction information — amounts, statuses, timestamps, payout state.
Why we collect it
- To coordinate safer peer-to-peer transfers and protected payment workflows.
- To operate verification systems that reduce fraud risk.
- To resolve disputes fairly using shared, time-stamped evidence.
- To prevent abuse, account compromise, and chargebacks.
How disputes & evidence are stored
When a dispute is opened, uploaded screenshots, messages, and transaction timestamps become part of that transaction's history and are visible to Secure Ticket Transfer admins reviewing the case. Evidence is retained as long as the transaction record exists so that decisions can be revisited.
Payments
The current platform coordinates transactions and may use a regulated payment processor (such as Stripe) to handle funds in the future. Payment processors will receive only what they need to process a payment and are subject to their own privacy terms.
Phone & SMS
Phone verification is optional but recommended. We use it to issue a verified badge that helps create safer transfers. Your phone number is never shared with other users.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is necessary with: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor (when applicable), and law enforcement when legally required.
Your choices
- You can update your profile or remove your phone number at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account by contacting support. Records tied to completed transactions or open disputes may be retained for accountability and legal reasons.
