For a private Ticketmaster sale, the seller should use Ticketmaster’s official transfer feature to send tickets to the buyer’s intended account. The buyer should accept and inspect the tickets before confirming receipt in the payment workflow.

Before starting

  • Confirm that Ticketmaster currently allows transfer for the specific event.
  • Agree on the exact seats, quantity, price, and buyer email.
  • Do not use a ticket screenshot as the delivery method.
  • Create the protected transaction before money or tickets move.

A safer private Ticketmaster flow

  1. The seller completes Stripe-powered payout onboarding and creates the transaction.
  2. The buyer reviews the terms, verifies their account, and pays through STT.
  3. The seller opens the order in Ticketmaster and transfers to the buyer’s intended email.
  4. The seller keeps the Ticketmaster confirmation and records the transfer in STT.
  5. The buyer accepts the transfer and checks the event and seat details in their Ticketmaster account.
  6. The buyer confirms receipt in STT; the protection period and controlled payout release continue from there.

Common Ticketmaster transfer problems

Some events delay transfer activation or disable transfers. The buyer may also use a different email for Ticketmaster, or the invitation may land in spam. Resolve those issues before confirming receipt.

  • Check the transfer status in the seller’s Ticketmaster order.
  • Confirm the exact recipient email.
  • Have the buyer sign into the intended Ticketmaster account before accepting.
  • If the transfer is unavailable, do not substitute a screenshot unless the event’s official rules explicitly support that delivery method.

Independence and authenticity

Secure Ticket Transfer is not Ticketmaster and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ticketmaster. STT records and protects the private transaction around the issuer transfer. It does not independently authenticate tickets or control Ticketmaster’s transfer availability.

If either side reports a problem

Do not force confirmation. The buyer can report the issue, which freezes payout during review. The seller should preserve issuer confirmation and recipient details. If the buyer remains silent after delivery, the seller may request STT review after the response deadline; STT’s audited decision does not bypass the protection hold.
